PRIVACY POLICY – PHODECO HERO (SERVICE PROFESSIONAL / VENDOR APP)

Phodeco Ind Private Limited (“Phodeco”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Phodeco Hero Android application (“Phodeco Hero” or “App”), a technology platform designed exclusively for photographers, videographers, event decorators, makeup artists, and other service professionals (“Service Professionals” or “Vendors”).

This Privacy Policy explains how Phodeco collects, uses, stores, processes, shares, and protects personal data of Service Professionals who register on or use the Phodeco Hero App.

By creating an account or using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. APPLICABILITY

This Policy applies to:

  • All Service Professionals registered on Phodeco Hero
  • Authorized team members added by Service Professionals

This Policy must be read in conjunction with Phodeco’s Terms & Conditions.

2. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

(a) Identity & Professional Information

  • Full name
  • Mobile number and email address
  • Profile photograph
  • Business name and service category
  • Portfolio photos and videos
  • Experience, pricing, packages, and availability

(b) Verification & Compliance Information

  • Government-issued ID documents (if required)
  • Business registration documents (if applicable)
  • GST details (if applicable)

(c) Financial Information

  • Bank account details for payouts
  • UPI identifiers
  • Transaction references and invoices

(d) Communication Data

  • Chats, calls (masked), emails, and support interactions

(e) Technical & Usage Data

  • Device identifiers
  • IP address
  • App version and OS
  • Log files and analytics data

3. HOW PERSONAL DATA IS COLLECTED

  • During account registration and profile creation
  • When uploading portfolio or event media
  • Through app usage and analytics tools
  • From payment partners and verification partners

4. APP PERMISSIONS AND THEIR USE

Phodeco Hero may request the following Android permissions:

  • Camera – Upload portfolio and event photos/videos
  • Storage / Media – Upload and download images and videos
  • Microphone – Video uploads where applicable
  • Location (Approximate) – Display service coverage areas
  • Phone / Call – Enable masked communication with customers
  • Notifications – Booking alerts and job updates

Permissions are requested only when required and can be managed through device settings.

5. PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

Phodeco processes personal data to:

  • Create and manage vendor profiles
  • Verify identity and prevent fraud
  • Enable booking discovery and job allocation
  • Facilitate communication with customers
  • Process payouts and invoices
  • Provide customer and vendor support
  • Improve platform functionality
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

6. EVENT MEDIA & PORTFOLIO CONTENT

Service Professionals may upload portfolio content and event photos/videos (“Event Media”). By uploading such content, you confirm that you have all necessary rights and consents to share the content.

Phodeco processes Event Media solely for:

  • Delivering services to customers
  • Enabling secure galleries and downloads

Event Media will not be used for promotional or marketing purposes without explicit consent.

7. PAYMENTS & PAYOUTS

Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways. Phodeco does not store full bank or card details. Payout-related data is retained as required by law.

8. DISCLOSURE AND DATA SHARING

Phodeco may share personal data with:

  • Customers (profile and booking-related information)
  • Payment and payout service providers
  • Cloud hosting and analytics partners
  • Government or legal authorities if required by law

All data sharing is subject to confidentiality obligations.

9. DATA RETENTION

Personal data is retained:

  • While the vendor account remains active
  • As required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes

10. ACCOUNT DELETION & DATA ERASURE

Vendors may delete their account:

Upon deletion, profile visibility will be removed. Certain records may be retained if legally required.

11. USER RIGHTS

Service Professionals may:

  • Access and update their data
  • Request corrections
  • Withdraw marketing consent
  • Request account deletion

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Phodeco Hero is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

13. DATA SECURITY

Phodeco uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards including encryption, access controls, and secure servers.

14. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Personal data may be processed outside India in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

15. BUSINESS TRANSFERS

In case of merger, acquisition, or sale, personal data may be transferred in accordance with law.

16. POLICY UPDATES

Phodeco may update this Policy periodically. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
